My real estate bill says grand list 2020, but I bought my house in January 2021. Do I owe these taxes?

Yes. Real Estate Taxes are assessed each October 1 and billed the following July. The grand list 2020 real estate taxes become due and payable on July 1, 2021, and cover the July 2021 through June 2022 tax period. These are due in 4 equal installment on July 1, 2021, October 1, 2021, January 1, 2022, and April 1, 2022.
